Customers brought in beer, wine, mead, infused liquors, kombucha, and even pizza to our latest event. After tasting all these great things everyone voted for the ‘best’. It was a close contest with more than 50 votes. Here are the winners:

A rhizome is a living part of the root of a female hop vine and is the best way to start a new plant for growing at home. Hops can be successfully grown in backyards and gardens almost anywhere in the continental United States. The vines are perennial and will send up new shoots in the spring however growth is usually stronger is subsequent years after the root system has developed more fully.

Nopobrews is sponsoring Cancer Sucks IPA Tap Takeover Weekend, Feb 10th -Feb 11th @ Plew’s Brews to help out Nopobrews member Steve Occhi. He was diagnosed with lung cancer and just completed 2 rounds of chemotherapy. The good news is the cancer is responding well, but he will have more chemotherapy treatments coming up. For a living, Steve is a self- employed contractor. The chemo has put him unexpectedly out of work and his state health care plan has limits to its coverage. To help with the crazy bills that are stacking up, Nopobrews and Plew’s Brews are coming together to put on a “hopping” good time.
