A Homebrew Beer Recipe

Style (BJCP): 
04A. Bitter And English Pale Ale - Ordinary Bitter
Extract Ingredients: 

5 lbs light malt extract
1 lb amber malt extract-dry
2.5 oz Kent Golding Hops (boiling)
1 oz Kent Golding Hops (finishing)
.75 lb amber crystal malt grain
1 pkg. brewing salts
.5 tsp Irish moss
Ale yeast
options for liquid yeast #1098 or #1275

Extract Instructions: 

Steep grains. Thoroughly disolve and mix the malt extracts with 2-3 gallons of warm water and then start 1 hour boil. Add brewing salts (this is to harden soft water). Add the boiling hops (bittering) at beginning of boil. Add Irish moss (for clarity) the last 15 minutes of boil. Add finishing hops (aroma) last 2-3 minutes of boil. Discard all hops at end of boil. Cool to 70-75 degrees, add water to make 5 gallons. Pitch yeast. Ideal fermentation temp is 65-75 degrees.
